About the Role

The Nutrition Officer will play a key role in implementing nutrition interventions aimed at preventing and treating acute malnutrition. The role involves direct engagement with communities, health facilities, and program stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of nutrition services.

The officer will be responsible for supporting community-based nutrition programming, strengthening referral systems, and ensuring adherence to national and international nutrition protocols.

This position requires both technical expertise and strong field coordination skills, particularly in emergency or resource-limited settings.


Key Responsibilities

Nutrition Program Implementation

The Nutrition Officer will support the implementation of community and facility-based nutrition activities, including:

  • Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM)
  • Outpatient Therapeutic Programs (OTP)
  • Supplementary Feeding Programs (SFP)
  • Active case finding and screening of children under five
  • Referral of severe cases to appropriate health facilities
